He has more than 15 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Biochemistry. He worked as Postdoctoral fellow six years and one year as an Instructor at the University of Connecticut Health Center, USA. Currently, he is working as a research scientist at Auburn University, USA. His research focuses on reproductive toxicology, cardiovascular disease, and obesity. During his doctoral degree, he has shown that environmental contaminants, even at very low doses, adversely affect male reproduction and have proposed a mechanism of action of environmental contaminants that produce reactive oxygen species-mediated apoptosis by mitochondrial- and Fas-FasL-dependent cell death pathways. For the past ten years, he studied different proteins involved in the therapeutic angiogenesis of cardiovascular disease and identified novel obesity markers in children samples. He has co-authored three Excellence in Research Award for his research contributions from the American College of Surgeons, USA, and he is a member of several national and international academic associations. He has published 42 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and five book chapters. Two of his articles were published as featured articles, as well as a cover page.
